OUR BURDEN: REBUILDING Nehemiah received a burden. It was to lead the people in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem and re-establishing the gates. Why did they need rebuilding? The walls provided security and kept those within set apart from the world. The gates allowed choice in letting others in or out. Nehemiah Ministries also has the same burden to help rebuild broken down personal walls and gates. Personal Walls. Many people are insecure and thus struggle with “boundaries” in relating to others and in dealing with the world. Their walls of security are broken down. Personal Gates. Many people cannot make the choice of when and how to care for others. They take on responsibilities for others and do not truly love themselves as God does. The “broken gates” let in destructive relationships and habits, and “let out” hurtful behaviors. Nehemiah Ministries desires to minister to those with broken walls and gates. We want to bring God's people to worship at His throne and find mercy and grace. This is carried out through recordings, publications, concerts worship leading, group ministry, and counseling.
